Hits and Miss of 2011

I love a good deal! I love finding products that are both inexpensive, and that work.
Here are some hits, all under $10.00!

Hit #1
Essie Nail Polish

2011 was the year I tried Essie for the first time, and I've been loving it ever since.  I've collected 9 Essie polishes throughout the year (which is a lot for me!).  The colours apply smoothly and are fairly close to how they look in the bottle.  Price can vary depending on where you buy them.  The best deal I saw this year was at London Drugs, who had them on sale for $6.99.

Hit #2
St. Ives Exfoliating Scrub

I was in the market for a new scrub after finishing one I had from Clinique.  But trying to save some cash only allowed for a drug store purchase.  I bought this scrub on a whim from London Drugs, for $4.97!  I'm glad I did.  The product has a light pleasant scent, and leaves my skin feeling super soft and refreshed.  I use it about twice a week, unless I do something bad like fall asleep with my makeup on.  Then I will use in the next morning regardless of when I last used it.

Hit #3
A Sleep Mask
Photo from www.amazon.com
Every girl needs her beauty sleep.  And this year I rediscovered how much a sleep mask can help.  I personally like it very dark, basically black when I sleep.  The mask helped to block out any light shining through the window, and blocked light from the sun on those mornings I was able to sleep in.  I got mine at Walmart for $4.00.

Miss #1
Tresseme Hair Spray
I purchased the Ultra Hold hairspray, but was not a fan.  While it did hold as it claims, I really didn't like the finish or the smell.  The finish was crunchy and looked greasy.  The smell was too chemically for my liking.

Miss #2
ELF Cream Eyeshadows
If you follow my blog you already know I didn't like these.  You can read my review of them here.

Did you have any luck at the drugstore this year?
Cheers!
Sarah
